About Mia's Dream Foundation
Mia’s Dream Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 2018 by Alicja & Stan Jor in memory of their daughter Mia Jor, who at eight years old, lost her courageous battle with cancer.
For three years we struggle with emotions and watched Mia endure countless chemotherapy treatments, bone marrow transplant and surgeries. Lack of resources, and times of feeling hopeless are just a short list of the many challenges that we faced daily when Mia was diagnosed with Nijmegen Breakage Syndrome. This experience motivated us to form the Mia’s Dream Foundation. We knew we needed to raise as much awareness as we could in order to help those already in the fight continue the needed medical research towards finding a treatment for a rare genetic disease. We will raise funds for pediatric cancer research to find better, safer and less toxic treatment options for children fighting cancer.
The mission of Mia’s Dream Foundation is to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research to find better, safer and less toxic treatment options for children with cancer, as well as support the development of a formal treatments for Nijmegen Breakage Syndrome Disease by raising awareness and funding research.
We will continue to share Mia’s story to promote awareness and inspire others to take action and make a difference.
Join us to serve those who are suffering with a diagnosis of cancer and starting a journey of the unknown…
